I’m taking care of some pups this week via Lulu’s Puppy Pals. They’re kind of wonderful. Kind of insane. Kind of overwhelming. There are two of them and they live together here, one is a 65lb black lab and one is a 3lb yorkie. Definitely an interesting pair when we walk down the street. But I’m sitting here on this Friday evening, contemplating going out to take some pictures, working on the Bushwick Community Darkroom website, looking out the huge, beautiful floor to ceiling windows out over the east river when I realize that out of the corner of my eye, from the west, suddenly night has moved in. But wait! It’s not just night, it’s night with POPS of light! So I turn my head and realize that I am about to get swallowed by a massively epic thunderstorm. Here I am up on the 16th floor I am inside the storm. It is crazy and amazing and beautiful. So I risked dropping my iPhone 16 stories and stuck it out the window to get some pretty epic pictures.
It’s 7:20pm here in New York and looking out the window you might think it was midnight. It is black as all hell out there, but this will be over so soon! but it is so wonderful while it lasts! I DO love thunderstorms! lets not let summer end this year shall we? I don’t have anymore pants.
